Hi, I want to start doing my setup, which is better to choose SCBA or EEBD hood? Is it a matter of taste or technically one is better than the other? In inert gas setups gallery almost all have SCBA
They're both really good, way better than the classic exit bag. Higher end SCBA's are better but they can get quite expensive (coz they're used by actual firefighters & professionals) but the EEBD hood is also terrific. Just go with whatever you can get your hands on, they both take roughly the same amount of time to kill you anyways

Thanks for the reply! Then I'll try the SCBA, so I need a mask with positive pressure and an open circuit, so that the exhaled air goes out, right? By expensive, do you mean something around $400+ or more expensive than that?

Then I just need to find the right regulator for my setup, my nitrogen cylinder has a G3/4 RH female thread, so as far as I understand I will need a 21.8 x G3/4 adapter
Ideally I would like to get the regulator that was used in the escmode kits because it seems to me to be quite reliable, but I don't know what those are called, can someone give me a hint? Or if its forbidden by rules write me PM

All proper implementations work, including the good old ExitBag.

Russian?

Pretty sure escMode's owner was buying those regulators from Alibaba or Made-in-China manufacturers. In those sites you can contact the suppliers directly, in fact we have found there the American escMode CGA-580 flow regulator and the pressure flow regulator (it even has the escMode sticker on it lol). Those suppliers normally sell in big batches but some of them accept single-unit purchases of the product, this is the case of the flow regulator so basically is the best one you can buy for CGA-580 regions.
Alibaba reg 1 Alibaba reg 2

I have been lately seeing several of the most interesting Hoods: the ones that connect via quick coupling, so they can be detached. These hoods could be connected to any flow regulator with the proper adapter without having to modify the hose like Vizzy did, which makes the implementation easier:

I'm going to pray to the gods that a replacement pops up in time for me. I'm upset, I always miss things by just a little bit, It's a running theme in my life.
I'm not even in a big rush, I'm not CTB this week or anything, but a method is the kind of thing you want to have on hand for when the time does come, not scrambling around last second trying to make it work, stressed tf out.
yeah damn shame, they had it all.
Escmode

Yeah, both the EEBD and SCBA kits were very popular, they went out of stock several times.

@𝕊m̆̈i͜͡𝖑£😊 is russian and he has an air-to-nitrogen adapter.

Russia doesn't use the EU connection.
The EU connection is DIN477 #10 (W 24.32 × 1/14" RH).
Im a little confused
The lung demand valve is attached to the SCBA mask, the LDV is attached to the regulator (lets say CGA-580), the regulator is attached to the nitrogen cylinder via air-to-nitrogen adapter, everything is correct right?
I cant figure out what the regulator is in this pic.....

That's Drager SCBA air regulator with G 5/8 male thread for DIN477 NO.13 with G 5/8 female thread air cylinders
If you have 1000$ budget, buy Drager pas lite+fps 7000 Drager SCBA mask EPDM-M2-PC-EPDM(Part number:56200)P connector
(second-hand is cheaper)

DIN477 NO.10 with W 24.32 x 1/14 male thread
DIN477 NO.6 with W 21.8 x 1/14 male thread
BS341 N0.3 with G 5/8 female thread
For those 3 standards you need:
300 bar G 5/8 female to 200 bar W 24.32 x 1/14 female(internal/internal) adapter
300 bar G 5/8 female to 200 bar W 21.8 x 1/14" female(internal/internal) adapter
300 bar G 5/8 female to 200 bar G 5/8 male(internal/external)adapter

PAS Lite+Mask+LDV
Why are you adding a LDV when that model of regulator already comes with an embedded LDV and pressure gauge? lol.

How GasMonkey made it to 1155 € is a mystery to me
▪ Pack with regulator (with embedded LDV) + mask: 945 € (from Spain)
▪ Air-to-nitrogen adapter: 57 € (from Germany)
▪ Nitrogen 4.0 cylinder: 153 € (from Poland)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
▪ Total: 1155 €

I never understood the $9999 instructions thing. The instructions were always available in the website for everyone to see, including people who never purchased anything.

It's a strange way of saying free, I've come across that before

How much was EM's profit~ from selling each kit(SCBA and EEBD)?
What was the actual cost of each kit for EM?

1/3 of the price seems reasonable.
