Discussion Excuses for s/h scars

I don't self harm for the intention of self harm but I did it with the intention of ctb. I tried slitting my wrists open but because it was painfully and bloody af, I stopped and now I have scars all over my wrist. And tomorrow I have work. Where I have to wear a half-sleeve shirt, and my scars will be very much visible. I've told people who asked about my scars before that it was from a cat. But this time I was being kinda very aggressive so the scars look like they are from a blade so the cat excuse won't work. What should I tell them? What excuse can I use?

Maybe say it was an accident or a crime, if you manage to keep a sad face I'm pretty sure they wouldn't ask any further questions.

hmm that'll just make them question the scars even more. I don't think I can use that
They look like blade scars because I did them with a blade. I'm sorry I can't really provide a picture of them but there are like 10-15 scar lines
