I found out today that all of the scholarships on my financial aid offer won't apply for me. Had a fight with my family about it and was really considering ctb tonight.

I talked to a friend for a few hours and calmed down enough to the point where I decided I would just practice psh again, and not actually attempt.

I decided to hold onto the other end of my rope instead of tying it to my anchor point like usual, and was able to get much better results. Within seconds of finding my sweet spot, my vision blurred out and I got kinda scared, so I let myself down and my arms and stomach started spasming.

I've never gotten to the point of convulsions before. It felt so good knowing that whenever I'm ready, I'll be able to do it quickly and successfully, granted I don't get scared again. I'm very glad I decided to practice this way. I'm still kind of feeling weird so forgive me if I'm typing dumb, I just feel so proud :)

I'm so happy you found your sweet spot, was it a new position, rope placement or speed of going into the rope that got you that affect? I've been trying to and can't figure it out for myself

I made the noose as tight as I could this time, I think that made the most difference. I just figure the tighter it is when I'm not hanging, the more likely it is to press on my arteries when there is pressure on the rope.
I was in the same position as in the diagram on my previous post, no difference in speed, just took much shorter breaks between hanging.
I hope you can get it soon!

Oh I see. Your last post had two diagrams but I assume the rope was high on the neck? When I do it tight I start to choke instead of passing out and it hurts. Idk why I'm not getting the passing out feeling :/

The one I am referencing is the first in the post.
Yes, angling it upwards seems to help a lot for me, to the point where it's as vertical as possible. As well as having it high up towards my chin.
Could you describe the position of your ligature when you do it? I assume the only reason you would choke is if it is more on your throat than by your chin, but that's just a guess.

Honestly at this point I have tried every position, below the Adam's apple, above, so high that it's right under the jaw at the very top of my neck, I either just feel pain or a choking feeling. I can't figure it out :/ I've only gotten my hearing to fade a bit a few times, last time it was when I was getting up and my head was below my body but besides that I haven't gotten it. I'm so jealous of those who succeeded or passed out in a few seconds since I'm struggling to find it

Damn, this sounds very frustrating. How is your head positioned when you do it? I found that if I look anywhere but straight ahead, I just get pain and no effects. It might differ per person though.
I've seen people say that if they bend down and hyperventilate, then stand up, it causes them to pass out. I've not tried it since I sit when I practice, but maybe it would be worth a try?
Sorry, I don't really know a lot of information aside from what I've learned from my own trial and error..

You're totally fine, unfortunately I can't make myself hyperventilate on demand. There's a video where a woman tests the choking game and seems to barely put pressure down, stand up then pass out easy, I can't figure out if it's because she has a full neck covering that caused it or what but it seemed so simple. I have tried looking down to add more pressure and forward but maybe I just need to try again.
