Every method can fail due to a freak accident, being found too early, etc.

My father was walking along some train tracks and had a seizure, passed out on the tracks. A train came. You'd think he would be toast, but by some dumb luck he landed laying right between the tracks. Train went over him, he survived with just a collapsed lung and broken thumb. It wasn't a suicide attempt, just a baffling combination of both the best and worst luck.

This is honestly terrifying, but as kind user above said, it's basically always a game of chance and luck. Even if one OD's, stabs themselves and shoots in the head while standing on the roof of a tall building , something can always go wrong

This is why you don't try to die by putting any gun under your chin. Also 10ga isn't all that powerful for a shotgun.
