There is a scandal within one of the biggest German public broadcasting stations the ZDF. I watch their news from time to time. An American user even sent me a link that it popped up on his radar.
I think the scandal is a little bit exaggerated. But the enemies of public broadcasting stations cannot stop to talk about it. In a clip they showed real footage but there was also AI generated footage. And it wasn't made transparent to the audience. There was an emergency meeting. And one staff member filmed the meeting to damage the reputation of the company he or she works for. It is unknown who did it.

I am not employed. I was employed for a short time period before I was fired because I was a total mess. To that time this hurt extremely. But I think retrospectively this was the best thing that could happen. My boss was pretty cheeky. But I was completely overburdened. I didn't lack motvation. But working made my depression so bad that I barely could sleep. I can understand why people are angry on their own company.

I don't know the work dynamic in bigger companies. I have read a lot about bullying at the work place. And I am quite glad I never experienced that. I don't have insights into the ZDF workplace. I assume the leaker of the crisis meeting might have been a far-right supporter not agreeing on the leftwing consensus at the ZDF. The bosses called that treason and many staff members are highly frustrated/disappointed. At least that's the official narrative. We don't know how many staff members are secretly happy about it. Maybe the work place is toxic. Who knows? I assume at every outlet/company/institutions the bosses can be assholes. Important disclaimer: I am explicitly not referring to real person I am just speaking hypothetically! Strict German free speech laws you know...

Have you ever had the desire to damage the reputation/financials of the company you work for? And did you do it? There is a trend I saw this on dating apps. Where people bragged that they commit working time fraud. It might be a meme though. How do you think companies could prevent such behavior? More control or just treating employees better? What woud you do if you were boss of a company?
