As a type 1 diabetic, I've often thought about using my own insulin as a means of suicide. I've done some research on the method but comprehensive information is somewhat lacking. That's why I'm asking for any feedback on it. I don't want to wake up brain damaged or alive in the hospital.

From what I know of it. The biggest problem is time. Namely, getting caught and revived before you die. Would any of you happen to know the proper amount or time it would take for an insulin overdose to be fatal?

Would combing long-acting with short-acting increase lethality?

Would taking alcohol or drugs help increase lethality as well?
