• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Sometimes hope grows tentative and slowly while despair can seem to fall on us like an avalanche. This can make hope seem fragile and less significant. Perhaps it would be better if we saw in hope a strength to move mountains and let despair take a less significant proportion.

Sometimes we define that in which we hope as another person or some future condition. It may be more practical to see hope in several things that are more tangible and draw from them a more persistent and less fragile support.

For example if one sees in activities such as reading a favorite book, watching a favorite film, or enjoying a favorite meal, it may be possible to build a network of small expected pleasures that are less likely to collectively disappoint.

Same here. I don't usually fool about with hope regarding external circumstances anymore because as you said it always gets destroyed. I have instead been trying to change how I react to external circumstances. Have a look at Stoicism and Taoism if you are interested.
