Method Drowning in river

A yellow alert has been declared in my region because of the rise of the flow of my city's river so I've been thinking whether it could be a good method to put in practice... I've seen the river carrying logs bigger than myself so I'm pretty sure it would work. The problem is that it would probably be pretty agonizing and the water is pretty dirty so yeah it wont taste good. I've thought of getting myself to lose conciousness before falling to the river so I don't feel anything. Any tips?

Even if you were to become unconscious I don't think it would stay that long for now. I'd also imagine if they have issued an alert there will probably be a lot of emergency aid workers around the river.
