Does anyone know the substance – a small amount of which is enough to kill an adult and is legal and used in food production?
Apparently it has been available to buy on Amazon.

It's popular because it's pretty fast compared to slowed OTC drugs overdose which can takes hour, and put you in excruciating pain. SN, will render you unconscious, if done correctly, in about 20 minutes from what I read. And, it's near to painless, although not as good as N, it's a viable alternative.

Because it's relatively cheap, relatively easy (just mix with water and drink), while many other methods are much more complicated to execute, and other methods, once heavily relied upon, have become impossible to obtain.

1) Almost certainly not. Anecdotally, N was sometimes obtainable in Mexico within the past year, but even that source may have dried up. If you see claims that N is available at such-and-such a place, just save yourself time and money and assume that it's a scam.

2) It's against the site rules to share sources anyway. Nobody's interested in turning this place into the next Silk Road.

Be wary of ordering any of these substances online. There was a major bust of an SN supplier a few months ago over in Canada, and a lot of people (myself included) were caught up in welfare checks.

Ah shit, I was thinking of ordering, I found a seller but I live here in Canada myself, and I was just trying to figure out the basic regulations an what not, I might just order anyhow still,, but I need to do more research since I'm really not to knowledgeable when it comes to SN and acquiring it, there's allot I need to read up on
