Same. It's hard to read through knowing a lot of them ctb. And it's harder to see what they went through to get to that point.

Yes...even if I never interacted with them, it's still kind of surreal. I'm happy they found peace but sad they are no longer with us.

Yeah, it's spooky. Seeing vivid personalities interacting, but they're ghosts. Especially if what you read is relevant and helpful and reveals a new side to that user, but it's too late to say thank you. I still like/love the post. It's very sad. It's weird to see people arguing in the past as well, it's a passionate memorial. It's weird how people had normal discussions and were really involved in the community, but the struggle was always running parallel to that. I search for certain past users and read things they wrote. I didn't even know anyone that well! Dreading bonding with people now, ha.

I totally get what you mean, it's almost like they're frozen in time, their colorful personalities, their passions, their taste in media, hell even the way they spoke. I just wish i got to know them more and say my goodbyes when they left. :aw:

Yup. In the past I have reached out to a few members on here who were in their last days. I spoke back and forth with one member who gave me some valuable advice. When I am feeling miserable I read through our old conversations and revisit their goodbye thread. He was so bright yet didn't see it.

Yes, it makes me feel so sad, but then I have to remind myself that it was their wish and when I CTB I will see them all again.
Peace and love ❤

Yeah. There have been so many wonderful, compassionate, genuine people here. Tender souls crushed by life and circumstances. It's heartbreaking. I hope they all found comfort and serenity wherever they ended up.

It's tough. I try to think they made the best decisions for themselves, but there's a selfishness that wishes they were still here.

I echo all the sentiments here. My heart dips everytime I see that line through a user's name.

but how do we know for sure they ctbed? Maybe they just changed their life and stopped logging in here? Or maybe they are trolls?
Not saying they did not ctb but how can be sure? There is even a poster in this thread with username crossed out.

I can't see "last seen", even on crossed out usernames, I'm on mobile maybe this is why?

There is always a possibility that someone seems legit but has ulterior motives, plays on others' emotions and their needs for support and social interaction, and watches it all play out from "beyond the grave." It's a sick world.

OP: yes.

but one thing is important: sad is not negative. sad is an emotion. neither negative nor positive. they did it, they achieved their aim. i am happy for them. they are (i hope so, nobody knows) in freedom and peace

Even when I see the crossed out names.... I get goosebumps and sometimes I fight my tears and loose. And i think to myself -so sad, so many dead people, but..... they are free now - that makes me feel better.

I do feel some sadness because it's another member of the community gone. However, I also feel some relief knowing that they are at peace and are no longer suffering.
