according to some forms of Christianity, what you do or don't do is immaterial. The Christian God has decided whether or not you are chosen already, and if you commit suicide, it was predestined. Did he not "know the plans I have for you?"
There is no one unified Christian answer on suicide, as it isn't discussed in the Bible really. There's not even consensus on whether or not we have free will. The Bible contradicts itself. You could — and some do — argue that the Crucifixion was a suicide. If Jesus and God are one, God planned the death not only of his only son, but himself.
