how do i grow without shame, guilt, regret, and punishment? that's all i've ever associated character development with. for now, asking myself impossible questions like this feels like enough. i'm hoping to somehow make a revelation soon.
Me too OP, I usually make the same mistake at least three times before learning. I try to take accountablility and understand but nothing ever reaches my dumbass brain lol
No, I never learn from mistakes. Things always seem to go wrong for me. I do see everything as mostly out of my control though. I think many people can make mistakes thinking they were doing the right thing at the time.

Sometimes I do but very often I find myself in a very familiar awful situation because I've made exactly the same mistake again. I'm usually furious with myself.
Thinking about it - I may have learned sth of the mistakes I made but I made mistakes again. There are quite some mistakes that led me to where I am now but it's too late now ... and I prefer to do nothing anymore bc a new mistake can just push me to CTB.
My prefrontal cortex might be intact, but that doesn't mean that I learn from my past mistakes. I'm a lazy idiot, so I usually end up repeating the same mistakes over and over again.
This is me, I should've never opened up about my Suicidal thoughts as now I'm being constantly watched and being treated like a criminal
No....I never learn from my mistakes. I always do them again but in different ways I'm so stupid
I keep dragging the people nearest to me into deep shit
This is one of the reasons why I want to CTB
