It's not selfish. People have the right to seek and obtain peace.

If you had a child, perhaps selfish. But honestly, other than a few family members, I think how much it will be a way out from how I feel. I don't think people realize the pain, but that's fine. I don't have friends to miss me, so I recommend backing away from everyone so you minimize the damage. Other than maybe 4 immediate family, nobody even messages me, so it's been good to see as I've deleted or blocked people that my resolve is stronger as ever.

I should have done this far earlier, but at least I'll be doing it before I am in more pain. And it will be healing for me, at last.

I think the people that call those that want to ctb selfish are the selfish ones because they'd rather make the person feel guilty for being tired of living (for whatever reason mental health, the negativity in the world, loneliness etc.) all because they don't want to temporarily grieve them. Then to add insult to injury they give cliche statements like "you have people who love you," "things aren't that bad" (because they don't see it) "others have it worse" rather then try to understand why the person would rather ctb then continue living.
