Hi,

New here as a member but been reading for some time. Ive wanted to die for a few years now and had one failed attempt with exit bag method.

I found a UK supplier who had SN and was able to pay with PayPal. Thought this was the correct stuff but it appears to be be a salt rather than the powder. I presume this is the wrong stuff but is there anyway I can use it for suicide?

Thanks

Well, SN is a type of salt so.... It is possible you could have gotten something that is only 6% instead of the >95% you want though.

Pretty much the best way to test if the SN is suitable for CTB, is with the blood test. You can find more information about it under the suicide resource compilation thread.

But to summarize, if you mix a few drops of blood with a small amount of the SN you received and it turns to a dark brown, almost chocolate color, then it should be suitable for CTB. If the blood stays red, or takes a long time to change color, then you will probably need to find something else. Good luck to you ~

SN is a salt, so it would make sense that it looks like… well, salt. Are you sure you got nitrite instead of nitrate?

You can't know what use it will be until you know what it is

I found it marketed as E250 preservative (99% pure). That's still the good SN right? since it's 99% pure

That assumption makes no sense. A substance can appear as a crystalline salt or a powder all the same. If you blitz up table sugar in a food processor it's still the same thing, only the particle size has changed. SN can be in the form of crystals the same size as regular table salt or it may come in smaller or larger chunks or it could even be a liquid. Powder vs salt crystals tells you absolutely nothing about what the thing is, for that you have to look at the package label or the product description online.

Is it good if it says NaNO2 on the package?
NaNO2 IS Sodium Nitrite. Personally, I would still test it, though. There are differing purities out there in the marketplace.
