Do I have the right to feel suicidal?

Sometimes I wonder if I'm just being a big whiny baby and can't face reality- so I just fantasise about ctb. I feel like I technically have a lot going for me in life if I wanted to be a successful person, but it is so overwhelming and I constantly see myself as a failure. Is it unjustified for me to want to ctb if my life still has potential? I'm just really going through a rough patch at the moment.

You can feel however you feel. However, feelings aren't always representative of reality. The end of a life stops any chance at change or progress. I think it would generally be agreed that no person should end their life if they were not completely sure of their decision.

I understand. It's just that lately I've been feeling that progression in life is ultimately pointless and that I could consciously decide when I would want to terminate my own life. Given that progress (and life in general) is always a constant struggle, I may as well ctb ASAP to end my suffering to avoid unnecessary pain. The thing about ctb is that you will never know what you are missing out on, so I frankly don't really care if my life improves or not

There's no such thing as a "right to be suicidal". People shouldn't gatekeep suicide. Sometimes there are no factors in mental health, sometimes it's just like that. Anyone can be suicidal.

Everyone has the right to wish for death, it isn't like any of us are obligated to continue existing anyway, it's our life and our decision, to me it's really understandable just wishing for permanent relief from this existence we were burdened with.

You have the right to feel however you feel, your feelings are valid and we were all born with the right to free will. People in all different circumstances feel suicidal , even the very successful and loved and functional people. I wish there was a medicine that could give people hope and courage and heal their souls.

Of course you have the right to feel that way. every human being has the right to feel how they want, otherwise we wont have free will it is just because of how most people see it differently telling you it is wrong or it is the cowardly way to go or end but that is also because they don't understand or want to stay delusional about it. but in the end it is still your feeling don't feel bad about how you feel.
