I keep hearing the opposite effect, so in a twisted way I'm glad to hear it's not a miracle cure. I'm sorry this happened. If I could I'd buy you some ice cream and watch a movie.

Sorry to hear that. Do you think it's a direct result of them or just coincidence? I find sometimes when I have certain treatments like Ketamine, sometimes I makes me feel a lot better but sometimes it lasts very little time at all. Try not to beat yourself up about it. Maybe find one thing that brings you joy or pleasure and focus on that until things level out again. I have BPD and CPTSD so understand those massive ups and downs. It can be exhausting but you aren't alone.

Psychedelics play around with you serotonin system so there's a chance you'll feel sluggish after (5htp is supposed to help with that, I've been meaning to try it myself), that mixed with underlying depression(and for me loneliness) can be hard to deal with, it all depends on your mindset, setting, the dosage and trip itself.

This is why psychedelic therapy needs to be more widely studied/offered, to opens peoples perspectives while also keeping them on track towards stability (physically, mentally and chemically)

All in all, psychedelics aren't a direct solution to your problems but a good way to find a new perspective on yourself and the world/universe around you, they also take a hell of a toll on you by flooding out all your serotonin receptors.

You'll be fine bro. You'll find your way back on track, you were there before :)

How did shrooms make it worse? Was it a bad experience per se, or did you just not get what you were expecting?

I might have run into a similar issue with 1g. Too much for a microdose, not enough for that switch to get meaningful insights. 2g solved it for me.

If you want to try it: set and setting is key, also try to bring down your expectations to avoid anxiety and frustration. Let it happen, observe, reflect.

If you don't, it's cool too. Were you doing anything special before trying the shrooms? Planning anything? Try to shift your focus to these things. You're still you. It's a good thing you tried something to get even better than you were, it's a good thing you're frustrated it didn't work. That means you still care, right?

I know its a direct result because i was starting to feel better for the past twoish weeks. Idk what to do now
