I'm sorry. Please try and not beat yourself up over it. I remember when I attempted to CTB twice and how completely devastated I felt when things didn't work out. Many of us went though these same feelings after we failed. You're not alone and we fully support you.

It depends on the circumstances. If I knew the reason and that they had done everything they could to fix I would let them go. If I didn't know the circumstances I would try to stop them.

You don't have to rush anything. In fact, you should not call yourself a coward. Ctb is really a big deal, it's a one and done thing, if you succeed. I understand that it can be scary. It wasn't you time to go today.

I'm so sorry it didn't work out. Failing an attempt can be extremely frustrating. But please know that you're not a coward, ctb is a really hard thing to do and survival instinct can be a bitch. I hope you do find peace eventually but in the mean time, we're here for you.

Please, go easy on yourself, Deafsn0w! I think the vast majority of us here knows the frustration and self-disgust of not being able to ctb --I know I certainly do!-- and from that, knows that you need to be kind to yourself. It's damnably difficult to ctb. Absurdly difficult. Maybe even the most difficult thing you can do, ever. To have had a successful test flight and then not be able to make lift off for final flight? That hurts so damn bad!

I am so very, very sorry things didn't go as planned. But catch your breath. Find your feet. Talk to us here, we who get it. Know that no one can possibly fault you for missing the bus --for any reason.

Be gentle with yourself. It is, after all, gentleness that we all long for.

Don't be hard on yourself. Doing the final step is really hard. We all know this and backing off isn't something to be ashamed off. It just tells you that you need more time. And you can always try another day. You didn't lose anything today, in fact you made a very important experience.
