• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

some weeks ago i made a post about how i have to fight with my doctor over a goddam STD test.
after i even told her i was with several "working women".

so i finally got a fucking syphilis test out of her and gonorré test...

i got 2 tests out of the approximately 5 i wanted. to make sure everything was ok.
better safe than sorry. (she disagrees with BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY).
what matters to her is PROFIT. not health.

and if she feels like i'm too big a cost (even tho i usually never ask her for SHIT) then she will gamble with my health.

i went there and got the blood tests done for what i thought would be all the STD tests.

then it turns out, she sends me 2 of the results, documented on email.

but when i ask her about the remaining test results, she tells me: "i will tell you the other results when we meet next time"
(which is a consultation for something unrelated)

and i tell her:
"no, if the test results are in, i want them ASAP. documented on email"

you know what i think she's doing?
the reason she doesn't wanna send it on email and only tell me verbally is because she intends to lie to me and tell me everything is ok.
even though it might not be!

meaning, that she probably only tested for 2 things and threw the other blood tests out and said "this way he won't cost us too much"
----------------

if it sounds crazy, believe me i understand.
i could prove it a lot better if i kept typing details, but nobody's gonna read an entire book on here...

It's condescending but the doctor can't actually lie to you outright for a number of practical reasons. Either she has some bad news for you or she's trying to teach you some kind of lesson about worrying to much or whatever. You can probably file a complaint with whatever the competent medical body is in your jurisdiction over her witholding the test results.

she hinted that none of the tests were "bad news", so that's not it.
AFTER I begged her for the answers.

she's extremely incompetent, but so is the whole healthcare system here. i've gone thru several doctors.
been taken advantage of and exploited, in regards to my epilepsy especially.

telling me i would start recieving treatment from a DOCTOR in a hospital, on a weekly basis, going there to talk to him.
to help with my epilepsy.
then i find out, it's only to exploit me.

it's a bunch of like 19-20 year old med students pumping answers out of me, about my epilepsy,
so they can use it in their studies.

i never talked to a single real doctor, and i never benefited whatsoever from this.

nothing went on my journal, everything went into their little homework folders, you know?

and then send me on my way, not even compensating me for my travel expenses.

just exploited

There are plenty of people in the UK including myself who experience similar things with NHS. Usually you have to be stern with them and keep pushing them to do the tests. Sometimes even that isn't enough and they just refuse to do them. You might have some luck threatening to make a complaint but maybe not. When that happens I usually look online to find a lab near me that offers these tests for cheap. Better safe than sorry.

it's fucking insane, isn't it?

"oh yeah, free healthcare, oooh paradise society"

yet they gamble with your fucking health to save a buck.
