Oh? What crime?
Local vampire, proud homeowner (he has a dungeon), in cohorts with a cannibal to make use of said dungeon, suddenly recovering from mysterious illness, let's put two and two together.

Oh? What crime?
If I told you, I'd have to kill you... Nah, just kidding.

Labor fraud. Pretending that you're working and fulfilling your duties, when you're actually not.

In recent times, I was in a service job that I absolutely hated. The workplace is a huge corporate compound, though, and nobody there recognizes each other unless they're direct colleagues; I can take advantage of this.

When I went out on the streets, I put on a hat and a mask, and I wore thick clothes that nobody had seen me wearing before. This was to make sure that I wouldn't get recognized by anyone when I should be at work.

I also had a collection of faux videos and images of me "working" or being present at the place, to send in as evidence to anyone that asks for it. I made sure to wipe all the metadata off of these files.

So, all that I did on a daily basis: I went there, hid my clothes in a street alley in order to show up in uniform, signed myself in the attendance agenda, walked around a bit to get spotted by some co-workers, and then I left via a route that took me through the kitchen and into the cargo yard (because I know that there are no cameras on this route). That's it... I go back home afterwards after retrieving my clothes. On some days, I might show up and actually work a little bit, or go there to enjoy the free lunch they serve.

The only thing that could have blown this open is if someone decided to actively search and ask for me in the compound, but they never did. I'm a nobody; if people did try to talk to me, I ignored or avoided them. No one even knows my name, other than my supervisor who holes himself up in his office all day. And, I'm finally free of that shithole.

99% of the time, those threats don't follow through... sounds like the average American school experience.
My friend had a classmate who would use burner phones and telephone booths to call local police stations in his area and make bomb threats, so that they'd shut down all schools in the area for a few days, whenever he wanted to get some extra free time. Of course, he'd try to make different voices each time. It worked, too. Smart fucker.

They never did catch him, especially because police in Eastern Europe tend to not be very well funded (seriously, they're more like a gang in their own right...).

Also, I am very glad to be out of that job. It was this cushy "high end" international place. I was chosen to be a butler/attendant because of having social skills (I can hide my hatred for people), knowing multiple languages and, most importantly, being young and somewhat attractive (it increased customer retention and satisfaction). They'd do things like put make-up on my face before I clocked in for the shift, iron my uniform, send me to take a shower, etcetera, preparing me like I'm some display piece. And having to fake smiles at strangers I don't give a shit about, listening to idiots preaching their delusional beliefs and being instructed to agree with them to "make them feel welcome", cunts who treated me as a tool and wouldn't even say thank you, having to constantly watch my posture and body language- I HATE, hate, service. Being in a subservient position drives me nuts. The shifts were infuriating and spite-inducing. When someone gives me orders or bosses me around, I just think-- who the fuck do you think you are? I could strangle you out right now and you'd be the one begging. Your power is an illusion, and you're too fucking stupid to realize that your social authority doesn't give you true control or greater value over others. You will die like a worm and you will be forgotten.

Anyway, I realized early on that I would go insane in that job and probably end up hurting one of the snobs, so I just started deceiving my employer. Free money, for not even having to work! Woe, they laid me off due to me getting majorly depressed from unrelated reasons, and being put on medical leave for too long.

There's only one Asian kid at my college and everyone treats him like he's a shiny pokemon (everyone else is white, with some blacks). Honestly, I wonder what crazy shit happened to his family for him to end up here of all places. He's not very good at speaking Romanian.

China. I'm not sure of which region; I mostly just see him around, and I think it'd be insensitive if I randomly decided to talk to him and interrogate him about his background (as much as my curiosity kills me to know). Despite the stereotypes, my teacher says that his attendance is pretty low and his grades aren't all that great.

Ah, I see. Well, a lot of rural Chinese people tend to move out of their countries... I do wonder if he has similarities to me...

Maybe. I don't think we'll ever know, unless I somehow get to know him (I'm in the second half of my final year, so, tough chance). He could use a friend; all he does is browse his phone, from what I've seen. Guy also doesn't eat very well; his arms are... well, even when I was starved I had thicker arms than him.

I understand that rural Chinese like to immigrate, but choosing this backwater Balkan country as your new home doesn't make sense. Must be some exceptional circumstances.

Well, if you really think about it, it's not that exceptional.

First of all, we're everywhere. Even Nauru, the smallest of the Pacific Islands, has a notable Chinese population. Only the Vatican has no Chinese people, and even then, I'm not so sure about that claim even.

And second, you have to understand some appeal in some countries like locals probably wouldn't understand. For example, Romania is kind of obscure, and seems like a weird place to move to, but if you factor in the fact that it's a cheap, labour economy, and a gateway into the European Union, you can see some value in trying to emigrate.

Interesting article... Now I'm wondering what's up with the Wenzhou city and Henan province specifically. Might be time for a rabbit hole.

I suppose so, but East Asians really are an extreme minority here, which is why I call it exceptional.

I do agree about Romania being cheap to live in, but the wages here are rather horrid, since the currency is worth 4-5 times less than the USD/Euro (then again, apparently 1 Euro is about 8 Chinese Yuan...). The country is actually facing an emigration crisis, because all of the young people are leaving to work in countries with more well-paying markets.
Still, our immigration policies are rather lax (a stamped affidavit from a citizen and spending a few years in the country can make you a permanent resident), and there's not much competition for jobs, plus what you said about EU entry. You're probably right. If his home situation truly was that bad, then I can imagine how my noble land of wife beaters, magicians and thieves would be better (most human trafficked country in the EU, and almost in the whole of Europe, by the way! The government refuses to actually crack down on it because it makes them money).

As an immigrant, being in a more prosperous and richer country is what drives us. The average rural Chinese person does not make that much money, sometimes bordering on poverty. Even in the Republic of China, where I'm from and a developed country mind you, wages aren't all too much better. You can make a living there, but you still might want to start a new life somewhere else, you know? North America, Europe, and Australia being prime candidates for countries that provide more freedom for us than in our homelands.
No, people from Wenzhou and Henan are usually the culprits of our diaspora anyway...

That's fair; I think that's true for all immigrants across the board, but it must be especially relevant for China.
And, good to know.

Still, I'd expect families to think about their children a bit more instead of throwing them into a completely alien country with no friends or linguistic knowledge and telling them "Good luck". Oh well.

Just read the Wikipedia page about Anatoly Moskvin... This guy is like a more insane version of me, wow. He was a historian, polyglot and a scholar with an obsession regarding dolls, death and the occult. His paranoid schizophrenia led him to exhume bodies from cemeteries and treat them via desiccation, then turn them into dolls, with the belief that they would one day resurrect.

Fuck, I should get some super eccentric and creepy interest like that... It would be really fun. Maybe without the whole illegal aspect, though.

We've got the duality of man right here.
I've forgotten how to sleep, can someone teach me?:ahhha:
Do you have any videos that make you sleepy to watch?
Doing a small, low-effort rhythmic movement while you're trying to sleep can also help with drowsiness in some cases. Very lightly tapping or moving a finger, or a foot, is what works for me.
I also like to replay random harmless memories in my head, or imagine certain things.

These things are what works for me.

No. I am a schizoid. It has a lot of behavioral overlap with autism, though, so I do not blame you for wondering.

It's just that I'm immune to autistic people. Autistic people feel natural to me, and I only realize they are when I ask... I suspect I might be autistic too because of that. I'm also very literal.

I see. My psychologist did suspect I have autism at first, but he ruled it out when it became known that I don't have fixations, don't have any sensory hypersensitivity or unusual tactile habits, and I am confident and socially adept.
On top of that, I have very dampened emotions, and I'm indifferent to criticism and praise from people. I live a very peaceful, isolated life, and I am often at my happiest when I am completely alone, even though it is the opposite for neurotypical people; that, and autistic people typically still desire social connection and emotional profundity.
