Does anyone know if bringing the charcoal grill into a small bathroom will damage the room in any way?

I would wait until the smoke stops and then bring the grill inside. This method seems like the way to go for me, but I also don't want to destroy my house in the process especially if I fail.

Tried it and failed. I used 3 chimney starters, waited for smoke to clear and transferred coals to small grills in my bathroom. I put the grills on bricks...no damage to room. I didn't take any sedatives or sleeps meds and SI kicked in when I started to feel effects (ringing in ears, headache, feeling faint). If you attempt I'd recommend taking something to knock you out once you bring the coals to the room. Good luck in whatever you decide ❤

Might get a little soot on the walls, toilet, bathtub, fixtures, etc, which could be cleaned off easily. It shouldn't really damage anything. Better make sure you use enough charcoal and seal openings very well, including around the door, and exhaust fan, window (if any), etc.

Thank you and I'm sorry for your experience! Out of curiosity, do you know how long you stayed in the room before SI kicked in?

About 10 minutes. I left the coals in there (room completely sealed) for about 40 minutes before I went in and revealed it. Please be careful with this method...if you're unsuccessful it could result in brain damage. Other posters have recommended doing a few trial runs with a CO monitor to make sure levels get up to 10000 ppm (which I did not do).

What are the side effects of brain damage? Does the person become like a vegetable or lose some motor functions? And what is "SI"?
