Can't start conversations, need help from mods

I would message a mod directly but I don't know how. The issue is that another user is trying to start a conversation with me but they said that only the follow or ignore button shows up. The start a conversation button is not showing up for them. Can you fix this issue?

Oh for new accounts it takes a while to get that function. U have to post more and it shows up. Since I'm older I got the function but then it disappeared.

make some more posts then you'll gain access to the chat feature.
Leave a ticket requesting that you regain access to the chat then you might be able to chat again, assuming that its seen.

When I clicked on your username the option to "Start a Conversation" came up for me. xo, j

Maybe try opening a ticket which is in the menu. I think that is what people do when they have individual problems with the site functioning.
