Can I still get a gun even though I attempted before

I attempted when I was 15, it was a pretty stupid attempt
I went to the psych ward or in some kind of mental hospital, I'm not sure what it was exactly, but it only lasted 3 days
Im 18+ now and I want a bullet through my skull
Am I still able to get a gun ?
I feel confident in my ability to fool a psychiatrist if I have to pass a psychiatric test

Yeah obviously it's illegal for citizens, but there's still a bunch of ways to get one legally
The way I've chosen is through a 2 month training to become a security guard, there's other ways though, like having a hunter's liscence, being into competitive shooting, or collecting exotic weapons as a hobby
