Would buckshot or slugs be better for CTB? I know slugs are morr powerful, but the buckshot likely reduces the margin of error due to the spread. Not sure which to choose.

I don't think it spreads very much in the inch or two between your mouth and your brain stem. It's a wash. Hell, birdshot would work just as well.
