Being a NEET sucks

Wake up, scroll through the internet and watch YouTube, maybe read a book or go for a walk if I have the energy to, go to sleep. This has been everyday of my life for almost five years. I can't drive, I live in the middle of nowhere, and nobody in my town is hiring, so I'm just stuck here. I want at least try having a job before killing myself, but it's probably going to be at least another year before I can get one, and I don't know if I can hang on for that much longer.

i relate. im completely unskilled not even target would hire me. used to be good at school but blowed that up. cant you at least try to get your license? driving by yourself is really freeing.

I'm trying to, but it's going to be another several months until I can get it.

I hope you figure it out.

It can be enyojable for a while or if you have enough money until death (thats not what a typical NEET is though). But it fills me with dread, swapping between productivity and hedonism - because all I can do is maximize whatever hapiness I can get then die.

It's not a healthy way to live in the long run. I troed to figure out my life many times, I even had a fullfillinf job for a while but lost it even though I wanted to keep it.
