Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Throughout my years, I have heard many threads discussing about people's method of choice when it comes to CTB. One of the more controversial points of contention lies in the fact that some methods can cause collateral damage. However, this article will be about my stance regarding the issue of method choice and collateral damage. In fact, I have written a thread that solely focuses on collateral damage here. Anyways, this thread will be about my stance regarding people's method of CTB'ing.

Please note that I'm not here to condemn people's choices nor am I here to glorify or promote methods of collateral damage. Instead I seek to offer my point of view in hopes that others can see another perspective of method choice as well as get some insight on my two cents.

I have noticed that there are people who choose brutal and violent methods when it comes to CTB along with the potential consequence of collateral damage. How I see the situation is that it is not the fault of the individual who chose the method as that may be all that they have access to or the method that is most suitable for their personal circumstances and predicament. I am not in a position to judge them nor will I judge them for it since again, that's their decision and free will. I will stick with the facts and perhaps suggest that if there are better and less damaging methods that to consider those too, but if not, then my recommendation would be just to minimize the damage cause as much as possible (if applicable and practical).

One example I can give is people who resort to using the train to CTB. While I won't tell them that they are wrong, I will also not endorse this method partly due to the high failure rate along with severe, permanent injury from failure, and of course, the collateral damage incurred by the innocent train conductor and the train's passengers. If one is very desperate that that is their only option, I would only hope that they try to minimize the collateral damage if they can, but otherwise I would wish them peace.

Another example is if someone chose a peaceful method, then that's great and I also wish them well. I may be slightly envious if they are able to (due to human nature), but then again, I see that situation being the most fortunate because not only does one have a peaceful, dignified exit, but it also leaves the least amount of negative impact towards the survivors as compared to more violent, brutal methods of CTB.

In conclusion, everyone's circumstances are different and I could not fault people for choosing whatever method they choose, even if it may result in collateral damage, due to the shitty circumstances that one may face or are facing in life. I do want to emphasize that I don't endorse the methods that have potential for collateral damage, but at the same time, I do recommend people who have options to choose the least damaging, yet reliable option if applicable though. At the end, it's not the individual's fault for being backed into a corner and being desperate as I believe that "desperate people do desperate things", especially if one is suffering for an inordinate amount of time with little to no relief. In fact, it's the fault of a society, government (the State), and the people who (including the masses and normies) oppose any right to die legislation, the prohibition of peaceful and reliable methods, and the draconian CTB prevention measures that result in people becoming desperate to die.

I think it's quite insensitive to complain about people using the train method as long as we continue to exist in this society where peaceful ways to die are restricted and where there is a lack of assisted suicide/euthanasia. Those who restrict and support the restriction of suicide method options are the problem instead and should be blamed, it's so horrible how we exist in this cruel world where people are denied the options of more peaceful ways to die and only have risky and brutal method options left, the right to die in peace should be viewed as a human right no matter what.
