I'm the youngest out of two by six years
If we're going by stereotypes, then I do fit the mold of "the spoiled younger sibling" since I often got a lot of luxuries that my older sibling didn't. Although, a lot of the spoiling came because I was a very fragile kid (both emotionally and physically), so I often got sick. It could've also been because, from the moment I came out of the womb, there was something wrong with me in one way or another. Add the fact that I nearly got taken away by child protective services as an infant and it makes sense as to why I was sheltered as a kid
Well, physically sheltered. A couple of years after the iPad came out, they purchased one for me so as to avoid wasting their money on toys and other plastic items they'd eventually have to throw away. Unrestricted Internet access can change a person, but I guess they got their money's worth since I stopped pestering them for toys from then on
I guess I pay for the spoiling now as an adult since my mother uses it as financial blackmail (is that a term?) against me. Plus, because my older sibling wasn't the perfect child they wanted, a lot of the expectations fall onto me. It sucks, but there's not much I can do
