Discussion Are there any other websites that are as open as this?

I'm not planning on leaving SS any time soon and like it here but I'm wondering, is this site an anomaly on the surface web? It seems that discussing anything that might be pro-suicide is banned on the majority of internet forums. Reddit constantly banned their suicide forums with the latest one being /r/suicidology. 8chan was banned altogether and had a suicide section.

Only one I know of is dedicated to the CO method specifically. And it's not quite like this. No support offered etc. mostly discussions of method trial and errors etc.

I've never seen a website like this one we are on SS ever. This website is the only place that actually helped me in my life. imo i don't think there will ever be a website like this again ever.

I mean i learned not only about ctb methods and philosophy but also about other areas of real reality and real life. All other places are masquerading people talking about superficial and meaningless ridiculous things.

And also the people are much more understanding, helpful, knowledgeable,intelligent than irl etc.

I've never seen a website like this one we are on SS ever. This website is the only place that actually helped me in my life. imo i don't think there will ever be a website like this again ever.

Exactly! I fucking love this forum and I want it to live on into the future. So many intelligent, sensible, educated people here. It's so civilized that moderation isn't even required, there is zero bigotry, zero resentment, zero agenda by anyone.

Compare this to how it is portrayed in the media—it made me physically sick to watch the recent BBC documentary.

I confess to have an agenda, not ill-motivated : help the cause evolve. It's so modest I dare be stupid enough to tell ! I just fancy to dig the truth out, as part of the knowledge. Trying to be proactive, kicking my own butt to be a catalyst for my butt's futur. Life butt death. I have this agenda set on myself which is part of my personality and the circumstances.

pro-lifers aren't the worst of our concerns, though I suspect it's from them that some obviously faked stories of survived attempts originate ("I survived N and didn't vomit?") - as if hoping by posting things like this they're deferring us from certain methods, and "saving" us.

Well, I haven't come across a single one of them, or at least not ones overtly encouraging or pushing people into suicide.

I'm sure there are others but when I was originally searching methods etc, this one was the first I found and seemed the easiest to find. I think there was a link to it via Lost All Hope, but could be wrong.
