Seems like by now every remotely dangerous drug that can provide a good CTB has been banned or highly regulated.

Back when you could get barbiturate sleep aids and such like candy...that must have been amazing.

Short of street drugs like fent, I think overdosing on any prescription med as a CTB method these days is pretty much guaranteed to fail.

This is just the consequence of existing in such an anti-suicide society where it's purposely made as difficult as possible for people to die. If people could reliably overdose using anything accessible then the medication would soon be restricted, sadly leaving this world just isn't straightforward.

The combination of OD propranolol with OD amitriptyline should work and will also be my method. I found a few threads about this in this forum:

It's possible just really difficult because technically you could overdose on anything, even water (people have died from overdosing on water). Best options for overdosing are stockpiling certain prescription drugs or just overdosing safer drugs. Only other options are producing the drugs yourself or getting drugs illegally/

idk, off the top of my head getting prescribed some prescription anti anxiety like Xanax by faking symptoms or persistence, saving it up, mix with alcohol and some anti naseua and then od? I mean I feel like it's possible. I get what ur saying, it's definitely harder nowadays. I wouldn't risk an OD on anything that wasn't practically guaranteed

Exit bad is really the best alternative I think. It's been used thousands of times successfully for a peacefully death. Only thing is you have to get the equipment and set it up. Books Final Exit and PPh give instructions, PPh even some videos. I am not very mechanical so I need help. It might be good to secure the gas if you can before they ban that too. Nitrogen, Helium or Argon. Better to not do it alone. There is a list of ways to mess it up, but other than that it's peaceful and quick. Obviously this limits some people but I thiink most can get this means. You can use a very clear plastic turkey bag, totally see through so that it doesn't feel claustrophobic. I tried one one, felt fine. Apparently one or two breaths and you are out, usually one deep breath of the gas and you are asleep. Then someone can make sure you don't tip over and knock the bag off.

That's my backup if I can't get one of the magic elixars. A famous author, Jerzy Kazinski, used a bag but did not use this method. He took drugs and alcohol and then put a bag over his head. That's different, but it worked. That's another way, but he did that in 1991, the exit bag became popular starting 1992 after the book Final Exit came out, so maybe he would have done that.

Wish our governments would help us out, sorry we have to figure it out but there are some good, tried and true ways. I would rather a meteor take me out, but what are the odds?

Based on this info, it appears that Mittel X/substance X is SA.

I don't see SA talked about often here, I've heard it can be dangerous for those who may encounter the body, and I definitely wouldn't want my ctb to put anyone else at risk.

For the sake of not getting SWAT teams showing up here, I will refer to a popular ADHD medicine from here on out as "ADALL" pretty sure we know what that should mean

I take ADALL on a daily basis for my ADHD, and I certainly have enough of that and other medicines to OD. Other medicines include but are not limited to cyproheptadine, fludrocortisone, and (not likely to overdose on this one) 1g salt tablets. Those last two are for my POTS.

Now, I have no clue how much of each would lead to an overdose, but I think it's safe to say that the rest of the bottle of each would most certainly do the trick.

probably because people buy unsafe street drugs for "enjoyment" rather than ctb'ing purposes and those are the really unsafe ones! >_<
