ive been suffering from gad depression and ocd for some time now and have always put off visiting a doctor but most of the things became a chore now so i might try therapy. do you think its worth it?
yeah exactly i thought about getting luvox prescribed with right cbt it does wonders according to studiesI think meds definitely help. But they need to be paired with something else that involves interacting in a positive way with others. Meds by themselves dont do much.
thanks for help i really appreciate itI'm not even sure what I'm on lol. But I know the meds weren't really worth much without others to talk to and support each other. Good for you getting help, though Hurray! I'd tell you to DM me to chat, but as a new member I don't think you can yet.
It's what we are here for! <3thanks for help i really appreciate it
In the way of medication, I have personally found very little success. I know people who meds worked for, but they sort of just blunted my humanity and made me want to die even more than before. At best I stopped caring about being alive or dead, at worst they dulled my cognitive faculties somewhat which was a bit spooky ig. Really depends on how your body interacts, so you might have to try a bunch of different medications before one actually suits you well enough. I still think it can be worth a shot on a personal level because if a pill seriously could deal with my problems upstairs, I would take it.ive been suffering from gad depression and ocd for some time now and have always put off visiting a doctor but most of the things became a chore now so i might try therapy. do you think its worth it?
Meds dont hurt to try at the start, ive been to therapy since i was 12 im 20 now and barely stopped in February this year. Ive seen 7 therapists, and have been on 5 different antidepressants ranging from prozac, to pristiq, lexapro, zoloft, and wellbutrin. Personally none of them worked and ive tried snall to large doses and been on those from 2-12 months at a time to get full range effects. Never worked for me so this year i finally gave up on finding one that will work since i even took a saliva swab to find out which ones would fit me which led me to pristiq, prozac, and lexapro and none of those worked so i just assume im doomed and nothing will work. You cant really blame me though after trying for so long.ive been suffering from gad depression and ocd for some time now and have always put off visiting a doctor but most of the things became a chore now so i might try therapy. do you think its worth it?
