anyone worried about leaving dirty laundry before ctb?

i get what you're saying, but culturely i think family members are going to go through my stuff and i would hate it if they had to do my laundry..

I hadn't thought about dirty laundry, but I have a lot of knick-knacks that would be hell to pack if my family is tasked with that duty. As of yesterday, I started saving my Amazon boxes to pack some of them away.

It's a weird thing to worry about but I want it to be as easy as possible to dispose of the remnants of my existence. Planning to do my closet sometime this week. I have an insane amount of clothes. Going to prep them for Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.

I've always thought that I would do laundry and clean my room, pack things in boxes and throw out old stuff so that my family would have the bare minimum to dispose of when they are ready.

When you said "dirty laundry", I thought you meant it metaphorically at first lol. "Dirty laundry" could also mean unsavory facts about a person. Though, in a literal sense, I think it's courtesy to clean up before you go on a trip ... Even if it's a permanent one.

I've been slowly cleaning my environment to make it easy on my loved ones to erase any trace of me. It's a slow process but it is going out one big trash bag at a time. I wish I could just rent a dumpster and toss it all in one fell swoop.

i spring cleaned the house a month ago. washed windows curtains and blankets and those hard to reach places. my laundry is just from the weekend, nothing much.

Fr, I don't even have the motivation to do my laundry on a regular day, much less on a day where I'm so extremely depressed that I have no SI left and am killing myself. However, I do want to tidy up my space so that in case a welfare officer visits me (since I ordered SN and will order N if it gets available again), I'll seem less suspicious (messiness is considered a symptom of depression so I don't want them to think I'm depressed).

I plan to go into the bathroom with the shotgun, climb into the bathtub with the curtain closed, and do the thing.

But before I do that I will clean the bathroom cause its absolutely disgusting. I don't want anybody seeing how disgusting my bathroom is when they find me.

I did that too last time I attempted. I made sure that I had a document with some important passwords written down, cleaned my room, did my laundry, wiped my electronics, and cleaned up my digital footprint best I could. What irritated me the most on the day I attempted was that I could not wrap up my life neatly no matter how hard I tried. I don't think it is abnormal to want to minimize the inconvenience for those who need to deal with what you leave behind. Life is messy to put it concisely, so is ending it.

Honestly and shamefully, my house is disgusting and realistically- I'm not likely to attempt to make it much better if I do ever go through with ctb.

I don't want the responsibility left to my family/ friends though- I'm guessing if I do manage to ever do it, the last of my close family will have already passed. I want to look into hiring a house clearing service to deal with it all. I feel like it ought to be possible to set up the request with a solicitor- along with my will and pay them out of the estate. They must do that when people die without any living relatives. Feel like it ought to be possible to arrange it beforehand.
