i was thinking what this method would be like it's almost a certain death. 150ft drop which might be an instant death should definately seriously injure you. if you survive the fall the current is too powerful to fight.

That isn't tall enough to instantly kill you. Water softens the landing.
The most important factor in suicide by jumping is height. Stone states that jumping from 150 feet (46 metres) or higher on land, and 250 feet (76 metres) or more on water, is 95% to 98% fatal. 150 feet/46 metres, equates to roughly 10 to 15 stories in a building, depending on the height of one story. 250 feet is the height of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
But looking at news articles, it sounds like a common suicide spot. You'd probably drown.

150ft? Over water?

The general rule of thumb is 250ft min for water landings.

I'd reconsider.

i was just curious if anyone thought about going this way i wouldn't try it because drowning scares me but people die or injure themselves jumping from 100ft into water.

Body never found but the sea only gives back 9 in 10 and keeps one for itself.

I think that's more severe injury than death at 100ft.

Golden Gate has a clearance height of 67 meters so 220 ft. Around 95-98% fatal if I remember correctly.

San Diego-Coronado Bridge has a clearance height of 61 m (200 ft). It is considered a suicide bridge.

Sunshine Skyway Bridge (Tampa) clearance height of 55 m (180.5 ft), another suicide bridge. The estimates are 207 deaths from jumping and 34 survivors so 83.5% fatality.

Anything over 200 feet seems to be over 90% fatality which is quite high.
