• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I became very withdrawn when I was 14… almost 30 years ago and it has been downhill since. I lived alone a long time and every time I tried to live with anyone (roommates, family, bf) it was a disaster. I felt even more isolated when I was in a big crowd, like at church. People are afraid to talk to each other anymore.

I wasn't exactly isolated but in high school I had no friends. Went to school every day, didn't speak at all, came home just to goof around on the internet completely alone. I thought college would change it, but it turns out being isolated like that combined with my autism made me incapable of social interaction. It feels like a curse that will never go away.

Many people here experience isolation, including myself. So I guess you're in the right place. Why is this posted in recovery?

Lockdown just made me want to isolate more tbh. I went to a supermarket, took a massive panic attack and I have hardly been back since. No I take propranolol for situation anxiety (if I forced to go out more) and order all my groceries online and mostly everything else.

For a bit in the beginning of my depression, the funniest thing is, dunno if you can actually Call it funny, doing lockdown curfew, I went for a drive to the beach which is like only 10mn away, police showed up. They wanted to fine me 200 euros just for me to be sitting outside breathing fresh air from the ocean, i bursted into tears and more tears. It worked, they just put their pads away and told me just go home girl. I don't wanna see you at the other beach across. Was very lucky my tears worked.
