Ending my suffering

I dropped out of high school because of my mental health, I was grieving, addicted to meth, and attempted to ctb. I kept planning on doing my GED but I enrolled twice and didn't do anything, I didn't even open the textbook. I couldn't bring myself to do it now my mind just shut off. I wish I could've finished high school normally like most. I had been a good student before I got B's or A's. I feel like it took a toll on my confidence not graduating. Im in the same position from then now Im just older. Most jobs want a high school diploma at least for something that pays a livable wage. Becoming hiki when I dropped out definitely hasn't helped.

If you dropped out do you have anything about your experience to share?

I was forced to study something by society. I was two years in business school, but I had no motivation or interest. So I dropped out.

Kind of similar situation. Never did any sort of exams stopped all education young. It definitley hit my confidence too especially as I was very isolated so I missed out on alot of that social development that was probably important. I looked into getting a job but I dont think ill last more than a day without having some sort of breakdown, especially as the jobs for people like me are very customer service oriented. Never rlly had the desire for a job either tho tbh always seen it as something you do because you 'have' to which ive never been a fan of like many people I can imagine.

I failed my GCSEs in secondary school, so I am basically in the position of someone who failed high school.

I Dropped out during my final semester of college due to a nervous breakdown over both graphic design not being what I thought it was and that me failing at what I thought my parents wanted me to do. Been a NEET for several years at this point and I get a ton of crap for it, but it sure as hell beats being a people pleaser and doing something that would have destroyed my mental health.

Managed to finish high school, but dropped out of university fairly quickly due to multiple reasons. Was just going to end up dead if I didn't, so it was the "lesser of two evils" option I guess... But it is very hard not to regret and wish you could have stuck it out regardless.

I dropped out of highschool and I feel a lot of shame about it. I was a good student as a kid until I moved countries and didn't recieve a proper education for almost two years + other things that brought down my self confidence. My anxiety and depression grew and I dropped out around 15, I probably should've just suffered through it but idk maybe I would end up miserable on both timelines, who knows

I am a college dropout. I left for various reasons including:

- Bright overhead lights in every area.

- The buildings were noisy and unsanitary.

- The campus layout was illogical and I became lost frequently.

- High school was several classes each school day with five school days per week. College was two classes each school day with four school days per week.

- Lack of secluded places to wait between class sessions.

- People occasionally acted cruelly towards me because my behaviour/mannerisms appeared odd to them.

- The building that contained the cafeteria smelled like food.

- The work was either too simple or too advanced.

I technically completed my university education, but I didn't bother to het the degree. I couldn't stand living in the city for another semester.

i most certainly am at this point.....

i forcefully stopped myself from doing anything school related when schools started continuing in-person classes during 2021, i did so bcs i became way too scared of ppl and also became even more unmotivated in general. and throughout the yrs when parents tried bringing school up a few times, i bursted to tears every time and i tried doing what i could to avoid school. on sept last yr i even blocked anyone from msging me after seeing mom asking me when am i gna finish high school (my mom was out of town that time so i was being stupid thinking no one was gna come after me), she ended up telling dad i blocked her tho and ofc they got mad at me. but i rlly just couldn't help myself, i do not want to finish high school and i refuse to ever get a job. that's one of the many reasons why i need to just escape this universe soon
