We have oftenly hear about the phrase "(Someone/somebody) ruined said individual's life", and in a similar way, taking that phrase, it would be "Anti-choicers, CTB preventionists ruined our (us pro-choicers) planned deaths!". So adopting this common quote, and it's inverse, which applies to us as pro-choicers, I think it makes sense. In this thread/article, I am discussing about how that concept applies to us, but before that, I will briefly describe what the original quote means.
In mainstream society and the masses, most people have heard of the statement of "Someone/somebody (or such individual/person/entity) ruined said person's life!", which refers to whatever the offending party did to said person, be it their actions, or just whatever an entity, institution, did. This is often said when some entity, or even a particular person does something to said individual or person. For example, when someone says this they refer to either their family (usually parents), or maybe someone else they know personally in their lives and due to said parents or said person, they either did something that traumatized, ruined, or otherwise had some adverse consequence in which the individual is still experiencing into their present day and life. This could either be emotional, psychological, financial, or even physical.
However, inversely, that similar statement can be rewritten to describe our current plight, us pro-choicers navigating and currently sentient (existing) in a world that revolves and is heavily leaned towards pro-life, paternalism, and various sentiments, clearly antithetical to our values and tenets. So instead of "ruining our lives" because we want to exit on our own terms, it becomes "ruining our (planned) deaths". Therefore, with this inverse statement (for lack of a better way to express it), that is our reality that we live in, where we plan our true intentions (to leave this sentient world and such) in secrecy, and our risk is that someone (usually a pro-lifer, CTB preventionist, or similar) would ruin our carefully and deliberately planned deaths, which is why that statement becomes relevant.
Overall, I wrote this article to emphasize how the inverse or change in a common adage actually depicts the struggles that we (pro-choicers) as a community go through and experience. They (the pro-lifers, CTB preventionists, and similar) meddle into our daily lives, regardless of whether we slip up (accidentally) or decide to put their nose into our lives intrusively, we do end up suffering as a result of this. I thought that this adaptation of the quote is relevant and accurate to what we, as pro-choicers are going through as well as our struggles. As a result of this, this is why we continue to have conflicts and contentions about the right to die and various things, but I digress..
