I don't much care for the gun control debate but one other reason we Americans can be considered lucky is that it's pretty dang easy to get SN here which I am quite grateful for.

The other positive being that you can protect yourself is negated by the fact that the other person may also have a weapon.
You are aware that there are sport shooters, right? Not everyone with guns is shooting at each other.
You've never shot a gun, have you?

Even so there is still a high number of shootings in the US.

There's always going to be people killing people, remove the guns and they'll move onto knives.
The weapon does not change the statistic, you can still kill the same amount of people.

I slept 1.30 hours tonight but I'll try to say some stuff.
See the previous arguments of @fixitinpost
Guns are a catalyser of violence.

If they'll move onto knives, they won't be able to do as much damage.
The weapon does change the statistic, you can't still kill the same amount of people.
Basically you take my former statistics and you remove 90% of the gun-related homicides.

And yet, even though the right to bear arms increases the number of homicides,
I still understand pro-gun people because they stick to their values, i.e.
You should have the freedom and the right to defend yourself against criminals and the government.

But don't say it doesn't increase the number of homicides. This isn't true at all.
