I've looked through some of your old posts, with comments like "...animal cruelty laws and all that bull shit" and how you'd get away with it if you'd been in asia, like that makes it ok.

I highly doubt it's the first time you've been cruel to animals. What's the 'incriminating shit' on your laptop that the police have seized? You should really listen to the professionals that have told you you have Antisocial Personality Disorder aka Sociopathy. Be aware you have certain traits. Don't ever get a pet. At least people can choose whether or not to associate with you, a pet can't.

Me and you are very different, I wouldn't do what you did, nor would most people. Those professionals telling you you're a sociopath aren't telling you for fun. Abusing animals is a common symptom and you just said it yourself, having disregard for the law is too, which you have.

I think the fact that you even asked this question, means that you're a decent person on some level. A truly evil person would want other people to suffer and die without even questioning whether it's good or bad. With that said, I admit that there were times when I have wanted terrible things to happen to other people, like nuclear war and natural disasters. There have even been times where I have read articles about people who were killed in natural disasters and chuckled a bit before moving on to something else.

If I happen to get into the right mindset, I can become a pretty evil POS. Sometimes I can be like this for days or weeks, but then the way I think and feel changes and I beat myself up for thinking and feeling those messed up things. It almost feels like I have an evil twin living inside of my head with me and we're fighting for control at times, even though that isn't actually the case. It's a vicious cycle that I can't ever seem to get out of. I don't know if the same is true for you Minsk, but if so, then I can relate.

The reason disregard for the law is a symptom of sociopathy is because when you don't do what the higher powers want you to do, you get labelled badly and your life destroyed.

Since thoughts cannot possibly kill I fail to see why that would make you a bad person per se. If Hitler had stopped short of actually acting on his hatred for the Jews and had been satisfied with wishing they'd die the world would have been a far better place.

Clearly we have far greater control over our actions than our thoughts so I put more stock in the consequentialist view of ethics and do not concern myself much with intentions. Especially if it's just thoughts and no negative actions follow.

Wow this thread is pretty fucked up. In my world, wishing death on people who don't mean any harm and just want to live their lives is inexcusable. Wishing for whole races to be wiped out is beyond the pale.
And no, not everyone is 'secretly evil' and 'chuckles' at humans dying and 'wants to watch the whole world burn'.
And no, psychopathy/sociopathy is not just a cute term for Edgelords who don't like to follow rules. I don't like following rules - but I don't have any compulsion to harm people or animals for the lulz. These are serious mental disorders where the individual is incapable of feeling empathy with the suffering of other living creatures and cannot process 'normal' human emotions like love, selflessness and the cooperative impulse.
My advice to anyone who thinks some of the thoughts expressed in this thread are OK is to seek out a mental health professional sharpish.

Killing yourself is your right. Hell, torturing yourself or maiming yourself is your right. You own your body.
Killing, maiming or torturing other living creatures for fun is *not* your right - and frankly, if I met you in a dark alley and no one was watching, I'd put you to sleep myself and make the world a little bit safer for all the humans and animals who don't want to suffer just because the idea excites you.

I'm guessing you chose to attack and mutilate those kittens. I assume you were aware that there were some laws/(consequences) in existence to regulate such acts.

I'm sorry for your hatred. I empathize that it's an emotion that can take over and change one's way of thinking.

But for the record:

*Some Chinese have been doing that for a long time while other Chinese have not.
(Same goes for a very large number of other countries and their people.)

*Some folks in that country certainly do give a shit and others do not.

*Some have changed their beliefs since the flu and others have not.

*Many Americans indeed are animal lovers.
Even farmers/owners of slaughter houses that do not follow humane methods of housing, animal feed or butchering methods in regards to food animals will certainly still love and cherish their house and farm pets, for example.

Regardless, you're entitled to your feelings and beliefs. Just try to recognize that hate will most likely only poison you.

I would have never thought of doing what I did five years ago. My living conditions and bad home life just overstressed me and drove me to insanity and now suicidal ideologies, which I think is what caused this. We used to have two cats at my house that I always loved, fed, and cuddled with. I am not inherently a bad person. Just had bad luck, and made bad, stupid decisions out of anger and insanity.

I just want to run away to seek a peaceful and better life, to be a good person. I just want to escape my bad past and forge a healthy future. Either that or suicide.

Thanks, and I hope so. I'll either find peace by running and trying to get a better life, or dying by partial suspension. The latter may end up being my ultimate decision, but who knows.

Your actions are symptoms of an abnormal mind to most people, not just me, and most importantly to those who are trained to spot sociopathy, the people who have already told you you're a sociopath.

If you want to live in a society with less laws why don't you move to somalia or afghanistan? I'm sure you'd love it there.
