It's certainly awful how the human body can torture people to such an extreme extent. No wonder so many wish to ctb, as it can be prison like when there is no relief from what this existence has burdened us with. But yes, dementia sounds incredibly horrific, it's tragic how such torment is even able to exist. Ageing is something absolutely disturbing to me, and just that itself makes the thought of ctb sound so incredibly appealing, as where is the value and benefit to getting old and deteriorating. There is simply none.
