With any luck, there would be no perception of anything. A state akin to permanent sleep would be best.

I'm sorry to say this but I am absolutely convinced that reincarnation is real. Just do some research on factually verified past lives. Especially look into Dr. Ian Stevenson's and Jim Tucker's work on this. Factually verified in- between life experiences are interesting as well (e.g. people who watched their own funerals and people from the past life verified everything that was heard and seen that happened). Finally, there have been factually verified near death experiences where the person was brain dead yet heard and saw everything that happened when they were dead.
But 108 billion people have been born but only 8 billion are still alive so that means 100 billion cant be reincarnated as there aren't enough new bodies ,so i imagine the entrance exam is very difficult and i`m sure one of the stipulations for such a test would be if you had waited in the previous life and passed then taking your own life would put you to the back of the queue lol

People laughed at me years ago when i said what if when you die whatever you looked like and was wearing is how you will look in the afterlife. Like the show "being human" shows.

A problem for those who sleep au naturel.

I agree with the posts above, existence without any sort of struggle sounds too good to be real to be honest

Not to mention incredibly tedious.
Either a nothingness or a true heaven where I can have or be whatever I want.

If you hail from the millennial generation you probably have achieved these dizzy heights already...

Hello! I'm new here and this is my first post. (Thank you, Vero, for the great link to "Soul Proof"!)

Would just like to say that I wish there was absolutely nothing after this life, as I certainly don't want to come back again, ever! - but I find that impossible to believe as I've had too many personal experiences, read too many accounts of ADC's and NDE's and talked with people who had afterlife contact with their loved ones who themselves state that they are happy, pain-free, peaceful and continuing to learn and advance on the "other side."

Here's another interesting link: Dr. Michael Newton - "Journey of Souls" & "Destiny of Souls"

To Pointlessabyss: Thanks for the "like"! :) The interesting thing about Newton's research is that everyone he regressed had similar reports, none of them knew each other and few of his clients, if any, were religious.

Your welcome as I agree with you on hoping and I believe there is nothing after we CTB.

The problem is with religion / afterlife / souls etc. Is there no hard evidence. There may have been coincidences through out time with people thinking / believing the same but it's all a bit of fiction to me unfortunately !
I respect your beliefs though! Everyone's entitled to an opinion.

Mediums / psychics etc are just earning and easing living off vulnerable people in my eyes.

I'm scared of what really happens after we die. I'm scared in a way that I can't even begin to understand.
I don't believe in Hell the same way others believe in it, but I do think after death we are separated. In my vision Hell is something like a very, VERY cold and dark place, and when you "soul" or whatever goes there, you're not really alone, but you can't see or feel the presence of any others. Like a ghost among humans, kind of. and you can think of nothing but all the bad things you did in life. Very far from you are, there is some kind of light. You just know it's there and the cold is unbearable and you know it's gonna be warm and fuzzy there, so you start walking. But once you start you can never stop, and the path leads nowhere.
Then the so-called heaven is really a place where you gotta do nothing. you think about nothing, you don't have responsabilities, youu can do whatever tf you want. It's all white and shiny and you can see all the other souls there, y'all got unlimitated quantities of whatever you want, and even though you don't have a body anymore you can smoke and eat and drink just fine.
I obviously hope I'll end up in the latter as I know what kind of life I lived and what's in my mind and heart and all that shit.
Maybe it sounds stupid, I don't know, but we're in the end free to believe whatever we want and whatever makes us feel better.

I think I am most scared of reincarnation and coming back all over again. I do not have a lot of hope for future generations, I really don't want to go through childhood again?

Idea situation? Heaven is real and god doesn't care about your sins.

Like everyone else I cannot say. i think the most I can hope for is whatever lays after life is not good or bad but at least neutral... whatever that may be

I want to become a puff of marijuana smoke and float around stoned forever.
Just a happy little invisible thought, a scent, floating around, looking at stuff, being stoned. That's all.
Maybe say hi to my mom, she will be a puff of cigarette smoke lol.

I have to say I really don't know, since i'm an agnostic. I wrote a short story on afterlife, it reallt is short, like two pages, if anyone wants to read it I'll put it here.

I know that earlier I said that I wanted oblivion — but do you know what would be an awesome afterlife for me? Having the ability to travel through space and visit other worlds as an ethereal being. Since I would no longer be bound to a limited human body, I would love to go to Mars, explore Jupiter's interior, visit the Kuiper Belt, see what is beyond the Milky Way.

Since I was a kid, I have always been fascinated by space travel. If an afterlife exists and we have the power of self-determination, it would be awesome to meet fellow travelers and explore places that were forbidden to us when we had mortal bodies. If the universe is indeed infinite, I would love spending eternity to see everything.

I know, sounds crazy!

So you have an intimation of what's to come!
You mean to SS? Or are you asking why I was born? Sorry, I'm stupid.

I had the same question when i read that.

Nope, no intimation at all. I realize how far-fetched my concept of an ideal afterlife is. Just thought I'd make a few of you chuckle.

Just peace. Or if reincarnation is real I hope that life is better - one that doesn't require me having to CTB.

I don't think a far-fetched concept of the after-life exists.
Hmmm, I'm not sure! I can't figure out what my life's purpose is.
