Where would one see the Sanctuary appear?
I've only been here a month- and i haven't had a high post count, but how is it fair that someone like me who is honest and not trolling might not get in simply because i'm less vocal and arrived 2 weeks before the twitter and vice thing?
Can i formally request entry?

Me neither, and probably never will be. It's a nice idea, but I've been excluded all my life so this is just another painful reminder. Hope the rest of you that are invited enjoy the new subforum.

i thought the new section wasnt so much for the people that arent here but for the the new people that are here. no offense to the cool guys but we have been having an increase of trolls lately so to me it just makes sense that the new people have to wait a little longer to see that section. at least that was roughly my understanding from what marquis said about the requirements.

Ok this is getting silly now all that happened was that mahakali posted suggesting Sherri would do well to find other friends irl and online (which she should)but left out the words as well.
Mahakali doesn't have English as a first language and explained what she meant in her next post.

I didn't get in either, and I've been here for years. I don't have that many posts too because I'm either non-functional or silent IRL and on here (I don't think I have much worthy of publication, or it feels too late to respond by the time I finish composing.). I don't expect people to be asking about me in the User Discussion megathread, but damn, to be excluded/found not worthy...in a support group? Ooof. It'll make people feel like they're on the outside looking in.

Yeah I agree, there's definitely at least one a day. I keep seeing posts all the time. And some of them are crazy dedicated to "trolling". Seriously don't get how these people have so much free time just to fuck with people's lifes

i hate the ones that troll just enough that they arent really doing anything wrong so you cant exactly report them but what they are doing is still obvious.
and the most recent one, i get curiosity and stuff but dont treat someones sanctuary as your playground. did you see some of the things they said?

you might not believe it but the intention is not to exclude anyone of you.

I can understand where you are coming from. but as another user mentioned, is a containment measure to solve a problem that is affecting more than anyone the older members. unfortunately as of now, no other possible solution to the pro-lifers and trolls problem proved itself to be effective or viable.

i assume everyone within the "elite" (as some said) knows that there are many great users among those who are yet to access the subforum. and i truly believe you are all appreciated. please do not feel excluded from this community, you are a fundamental part of it, and truly cared for. under no circumstances this is meant to imply that you are not welcomed in here. it's merely an attempt to make this forum a safer space, not only for the "elite", but for you too.

People can gain access by continuing to be active in the community. It's not like people are being told they can't get there. If I haven't earned something that doesn't mean I'm excluded, but rather haven't gotten there yet. It doesn't say anything about members as people.

I think you people are forgetting that the "right to die movement" does not end with a website, or with a certain number of people. (And yes, I am calling it that). I am a new member and I love it here, but if the site wants to promote division and leave the new members behind (that is, if the site is taken down). I am sure there will be other another websites fighting to spread information and (I hope) to fight back. Not to just hide in the shadows. I know that there's nothing wrong with someone chosing to die, and honestly, I wish I could do it peacefully. I would go as far as to say it is a basic human right. But knowing the history of stonewall for exemple, being a gay man myself, I know that the status quo won't change without a fight.

I am basically the same. I've been lurking this forum for a long time and my join date for this account is April 2019, although I had a previous account that I lost my password for (had it stored in a laptop that died) and it was just easier to create a new account. I don't post often because I usually don't think I have much useful to contribute. I've always been that way - IRL and on forums. Many times I will write a post, rethink it, then just delete it...it's another example of my low self confidence and a life full of people telling me what I have to say is 'stupid', and of being ignored so much on other forums that now I just assume (I know I shouldn't do that) I will be ignored anyway. :( Anyhow, my point is that I'm not a well-known or vocal member, but I'm a decent person and I've always adhered to the rules here. I'm not sure what benefit I'd be to the new forum too but just wanted to echo what TiredOfCoping said about post count being low having other reasons besides being anything suspicious or nefarious. (btw, I cannot see this new forum The Sanctuary so I conclude I didn't meet the criteria and that's OK, I just wanted to add my two cents.) Thanks <3

The trolls should be ignored or reported they are very easy to spot. But what happens is certain people encourage them by getting offended or getting into silly debates with them.
Now those people have a sanctuary yet the people who discourage them by ignoring them don't

Quite frankly the person who got banned yesterday was oberstepping the line many times and clearly didnt take this forum serious. That aside, I really dont see where all these trolls are that everyone is talking about. If trolls are such a big issue making a seperate forum for established members is arguably worse because they will just prey on more vulnerable members who arent able to see through their charade.

In regards to the pro-lifers they will always have enough screenshotting material from the goodbye threads, so how about just making those member only? Of course they can always just create an account...But again they have no power over this site.

This is a very bad move and will eventually hurt the people who need this forum the most. If its not that important and wont be used much, why do many want in so badly?
