Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Honestly, I think banning discussion of sources outside of detailing whether the SN from the source is authentic would be the best move at this rate. Too many discussion posts revealing various details about sources leading to overuse and compromisation of the source. Yes, it would be gate-keeping, but details could be provided via PMs if the user has built up enough trust. If someone's really desperate and can't find a source they can always make their own SN which, as long as proper protocol is followed, will likely be a sufficient enough purity to CTB with. But I'm also not in a capacity to make decisions regarding moderation. These are just my own views.
I respect that especially considering how posts are made about dsl every few hrs or so.
Agreed, now I know people would like info on sources but no one needs to be guilt tripped into providing them to someone having said they looked for hrs on end for clues to find it and then end up insulting someone who refuses to do so, i think that makes interaction here between users more difficult than it already is when it comes to this especially.
