If I put a big plastic bag over my head and make sure it's closed around my neck, what can go wrong? And how much time would it take to lose consciousness and die?
Put a ziptie, make it very tight. Your survival instinct is going to make you tear a hole in the plastic bag. Loss of consciousness will take several minutes. It'll feel like drowning basically. Very unreliable method unless you really hate your life

This has been asked about very many times on this site, and the answer never changes. This will cause a buildup of carbon dioxide in the bag, which activates your brain's instinct to breathe. The lack of oxygen in the bag will just make you panic and you will try with everything that you have to tear that bag off of your head. You will most likely end up panicked, panting, and with a pounding headache.

As others have written, your body's panic instincts will kick in... and you will involuntarily rip the bag from your head. There are a lot of methods out there... and I would suggest that you do some research and don't select a method that seems 'quick and easy.' A few years ago, I did a ton of research and bought the materials required... and I still failed... I now have a method that I'm quite confident in, but it again took some research.
