I PROTESTED FOR YEARS AND MET WITH THE GOVERNMENT WITH THE WELSH EQUALITY ALLIANCE TO SORT OUT THE GRA AND WE GOT A PITY COMPROMISE OF A REDUCTION FROM £140 to £5 …. Ive spent my entire life making the world a better place, saving lives medically, being politically active against this exact shit thats ruining lives and I've seen nothing come from it. Ive not found community ive not found humanity ive not found any peace or solidarity in the fact I have to continue living my life for the sake of people who literally could not give a shit… people who've actively raped me and bullied me btw….
It's beyond cruel you'd ask me to fight More when I've been fighting the world my entire life with no more than a thank you from strangers who ignored every cry for help ive ever made….
The process is beyond cooked and they're convinced because I produce no hormones even with female reproductive organs that my birth certificate being male is acceptable (and the one a second doctor wrote as female got written off) yep…. I wish I were making shit up but the government said get a GRC and that will be it…. It was not
I understand. I have done the same: fighting for over half a century to try to make the world a better place for others. In all that time, I have got thanks from precisely 2 people. (And one of those was not even part of the group I was fighting for, though her daughter was.) I have paid quite a high price for it too. But we can not think only of ourselves. So long as we have the strength to do it, we must think of others.
I realise that you may have come to the end of your strength. If you decide that catching the bus is the only reasonable way forward, I wish you peace. We all have our limits.
If you can find the strength to continue fighting, remember that it's people who don't give up when all seems lost who can sometimes change the world. Think of Nelson Mandela. He had every reason to give up. But somehow he found the strength to carry on fighting.
Whatever you decide, good luck.
(If you would like to PM me, feel free. Some things are more easily discussed when they are not in view of the entire world.)
