So how many deaths from SN, and how many from Sodium nitrate? How is sodium nitrate even relevant?

SN is my backup plan, but it's good to see how successful it is. I already have cardiovascular problems so I wonder if the meth blue would worsen those so much that I'd CTB anyway even if I did get found.

Suicide methods are often heavily censored in mainstream media and they have a tendency to omit information. Nitrite is often substituted for Nitrate in the few articles I've seen related to SN and I'd guess some people may have attempted with Nitrate because of this misinformation. That, or they came on here and ordered the wrong thing because they can't read.

I wonder what happens when you take nitrate instead of nitrite though. Does someone know the effects on your body of that?

There was a member here called Neck Deep who accidentally bought nitrate instead of nitrite. If I recall she had burning in her stomach but obviously didn't die. She ctb days later after receiving the correct substance. The link to her goodbye thread is below.

A while ago someone on this site attempted to ctb with s. nitrate, which he bought by mistake. Nothing happened. Then he ordered s. nitrite.

Posted at the same time as @Astral316 , who has linked the person I was thinking of.

Thanks, that's interesting to know. I'm wondering because I've read several times nitrite turns into nitrate over time when exposed to oxygen.

I just read through that topic and it must have been a horrible night for that girl. Thinking you'll die at peace any moment, only figuring out nothing happens. But at the same time she also didn't have to go to the hospital, so it's not dangerous taking nitrate instead of nitrite.

Did you make another thread about what happened to sodium nitrate instead of nitrite?

This is actually pretty effective when you think about it. You have to remember that SN don't give you any long term damage if you fail the attempt.

Pretty nice.
That claim assumes that did not have a lack of oxygen to your brain and body for any more than 2 or three minutes

80% success rate shows how lethal SN is. Very nice.

I asked a chemist about this, he said Sodium Nitrate isn't even lethal, at worst it can give you stomach ache.

For 95% of the survivors, absolutely nothing. For the 5%, it's cardiovascular issues, but that was usually from the administration of the antidote.
Where did you get this from?
