  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Deciding to take your own life is a terrifying decision to make, and I personally think it's very brave of someone to commit and go through with it. I'm speaking for myself on my option on it, I'm fully aware many would disagree.
For me I've been apathetic towards almost everything for as long as I can remember. So i don't care dying in the slightest.

It's absolutely brave. I think it's laughable how so many like to call those who commit suicide cowards. If it was so easy to go through with, most here and many others on this planet would be long gone.

So you are brave, Virgo, and I wish you all the best.
It depends on the person. I'm already dead so I don't consider it brave.

I wonder how difficult it is to compress the carotid properly so the pressure doesn't build up?

If one side is compressed instead of the other...immense pressure builds up...no?

I think you are thinking of jugular veins.

Jugular veins makes your head feel like it is going to explode.

Don't you compress both though? I mean the ligature is around your whole neck

I think that is what makes it tricky. If you compress the jugular but not the carotids, you will feel that awful painful pressure in your head. If you compress both, you will faint before the pressure reaches any significant level.

Yes, but if you compress both your not going to have a problem.
It's when you compress the jugular veins without carotid that your head hurts.

Have you attempted before? You've tested the belt and it works for you? Is it tied off or jammed into a door?

No serious attempts. It is tied to something.

I wonder if you succeeded.
Every time I went unconscious I would start thrashing around. Each time I ended up loosening the pressure till I could regain consciousness/motor control. I'm just going to try something less desirable and more violent now. I can either try a 100 ft drop, or train tracks now.

Damn, that's awful. Hanging can be such a chore... That's why I'm waiting for N now. Ultimately I'm afraid of failing to die by hanging.

You would feel yourself thrashing around when you were unconscious?
