I will one day drop threads at a better hour but not any time soon. I also know that not many are interested in such things but I don't really care LOL. Imma do it anyways!

This is because soooo many of us are in such fear of the other side. Some of us state that it's sheer oblivion and nothingness or even worse, hell for our sin of CTB. There are also many of us who have tried to look into and understand the timeless studies of gurus mentors and spiritual teachings wether they are religious or not. The story always seems to be the same even among people who have done DMT experiences and religious experiences from different "denominations".

This is a 2-for. This is a general depiction of the first day in the afterlife followed by an in depth guided tour. Do not fear the reaper. Do not go into death in despair and if you do because you can't help yourself then know that this world is not a reflection of the other side. They are waiting for us there wether it's old age or by our own hand when it seems too soon. One day I will be there and if I can I will catch you as you cross and do my best to take care of you and help you get rid of your pain. I try to do that with these posts here because we are all in that same pain. We are scared and we are just exhausted by all this trouble here in this world. They are ready for you if you are getting ready to go. They will catch you and bring you home. They will love you and help you shake off this horrible mortal coil that we have been prisoned in. You have no idea how truley close you are to being at one with the loving other side. I would encourage anyone to take another unbiased and heartfelt look at the spiritual and physical aspects of where we are and how close to heaven it truley is. Your loved ones and/or makers are right next to you. It's only here that you feel alone and hurt. So I really hope some of you are helped by this because it is meant to be uplifting and POSITIVE!! Let the kindness sink in once in a while. It's good for you. It's not your last day here that you should be sad about. It's your first day of the afterlife that you should celebrate and look forward to.

I think that this second part mentions something interesting..

Most people will wander around in whatever felt most comfortable on earth in the time period in which they last lived.

I, for example, like to walk around in my loose pans in the "military"/camo color.
Now, will those pants be appropriate in the afterlife or not?
I mean, the color makes many people think about war or violence but I personally like them because they have gigantic pockets ( I even managed to carry five 20000mAh Anker powerbanks in them), they don't restrict my movement and they were perfect for my motorcycle tours around Europe (back, before the whole pandemic happened).

Also, I don't think that my Dirty Black Halo, Sabaton, Radio Tapok and System If A Down shirts would make a great impression there :ahhha:

Right but how many mosh pits do you think are already going on in the afterlife? I'm sure there are many! I think every new soul brings new news of life as well so maybe the newly dead are very popular in the afterlife? These were very neat to read. That's why I like them but everyone who studies spirituality has come to the same conclusion with death. We go to the same place and it is a kind place. Evil is what we experience here.

I always try to go with snarky atheism as my modus operandi but I really, really, really like the idea of having sent myself/having been sent here to learn some lesson. This isn't compatible with my current worldview--hard determinism--but I am good at suspending disbelief. So in this case I would have learned that it is bad to avoid love, bad to leave kids in kindergarten too early, nonsensical to compare people to each other or to judge (in a moralistic, "deserve/earn/punishment/reward" kind of way), bad to give into fear, bad to think both too long-term and too short-term, that you will never get what you need (be happy with what little garbage you have or just kill yourself) and that no one knows shit (generally speaking).

Life here in this world fucking sucks. I would bet there is some dumb shit in the afterlife that we won't like either but at least we won't be paying taxes and be stressed all the damn time (in theory).

We could speculate for the rest of our lives and get no closer to knowing what happens when we die. It's comforting to say "this life has been hell, the afterlife will be sweet in comparison", but the reverse could be equally as true. We could die and be like "fuck, those problems I had in that life were nothing compared to this hell!". We just do not know either way. It's mighty tempting to confuse what we WANT with what we KNOW.

I completely agree! That will be my very first question to God or Jesus or satan or Buddha or whoever the fuck may or may not be there. "What the FUCK was the point of THAT!? NO, dont try to change the subject by offering me cookies!! What? Oh, peanut butter cookies? Ok, I'll call down a bit but we're not done with this conversation!"

Plus its even worse for these little children who die in our war-torn countries and so on. So its like life is only worth living IF we are destined to be famous or rich or at least well off. It's like a joke and it is very painful. It sux!

The idea of 'your' first day in the afterlife presupposes that post corporeal experience would be individualistic and personal, tethered to an ego. I'm not here to say that it isn't. However, I think it's just as likely to be a more integrated experience with infinite perspectives. Without a body tying you to a specific place perhaps you would be omnipresent across space and time.

It's only natural as humans to imagine an afterlife being a similar experience and maybe it is. Personally I think if there is something it will be more of a rejoining with a larger consciousness that permeates everything, and so the idea of being your own separate individual melts away. I think of everything around me in life as a different part of myself in that sense, since everything shares the same ultimate origin to the best of our knowledge. We are the universe expressing itself as rock, gas, life, I am me but I am also you, as you are part of everything.

Either that or it's one big simulation for bored eternal beings who want to feel what it's like to live in an imperfect world.

Maybe. Who knows.

Thank you for sharing this, I especially appreciate and resonate with the part that says:

"You will evaluate the lessons learned and determine what still remains for you to accomplish in future lives.

There is no harsh judgement, no condemnation. You will simply review over your mistakes and vow to do it better the next time around.

And then you will set out to design for yourself the ideal circumstances that you will require to learn your lessons and remedy your mistakes in future lives."

This notion is incredibly hopeful to me, as while I know for certain that this life has been botched, I can't escape the hopeful sentiment that I could've had a great life if I'd just done things differently and not screwed up at a few critical junctures. It gives me hope to think that in a subsequent life on Earth after this one, I'll have the insight and wherewithal to do things right and thus live a happy, successful, and fulfilling existence. Does anyone else take comfort or find hope in this idea?

Also, out of curiosity, how/where did you find this OP?

I believe in reincarnation but not in the way most people describe it. I don't see it as a direct continuation of our identity, as I believe that death is a process of letting go of everything that makes us individual and becoming universal. I will be coming back, but only in the sense that I am essentially God, experiencing his own mind simultaneously through many incarnate vessels. I am you and you are me, the only thing separating us us is the illusion of separation in our minds.

That's my belief.

Watched this interview last night. He's sort of a pioneer in parapsychology at the University of Virginia. Have read a couple of his books but hadn't heard him speak before. Some smart people who have looked at the evidence have come down on the side of consciousness continuing on after death.
