When I was younger- Van Gogh- although, I have seen theories put forward that it may not have been suicide.

There were also suicides represented in television series that I related to. It's questionable whether it really happened that way but, in the TV series 'I, Cladius', Cladius' mother kills herself because- basically- she doesn't like how the world around her is changing and she no longer wants to be a part of it. I think a lot of us can relate to that.

Really, I feel like I can relate to any suicide I hear of. Even if the cause isn't the same, I feel a connection in the desire to be free of this world. So- in that way- Robin Williams. I imagine- in his place, I also wouldn't want to experience the later stages of lewy body dementia. Worse- considering he didn't have the diagnosis at that stage.

It's so terrible what happened to an extremely good person. It's depressing. What hope is there for anyone?

It's terribly sad and frightening really. A friend's Mum is suffering badly with dementia. It's horrible what can happen to us.

What I find more frightening is- I assume he would have had the funds to receive top notch healthcare and yet- they didn't even ascertain it was lewy body dementia till he had died. It's got to be even more frightening to feel your mind going and, not know why.

Wish I could successfully pull off partial hanging like Chester Bennington did. I've also loved Linkin Park my entire life, my brother got me into them at a really young age. His death always heavily affected me as it did a lot of people

Rockstars in general, like Bob Bryar, Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, Ian Curtis, Kurt Cobain.

Writers too, such as Ernest Hemingway, Ned Vizzini, Virginia Woolf.

It's wild to think he did it in such a simple manner with just a gulp of beer, i've tried with a large amount of liquor and i kept backing out...

Id have to say Adam Lanza tho I'm not necessarily thinking about his suicide but more about him in general, but yeah that includes his suicide

Tbh there's lots.

But I like people who consider the idea of rational suicide as a legitimate life choice. Not just something you do when you are backed into a corner with no other options left. (Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that scenario either though)

And people who recognise that this is fundamentally a bad game and a very dangerous game. There's no objective purpose to it, and we are consistently in harm's way the longer we remain here as a sentient conscious feeling creature. And of course, we contribute to the suffering in this world as well by being alive.

I also quite like suicide as form of rebellion against the unfair and unjust nature of life/society. A rejection of an imposed life that we never asked to be part of.

For me, people who think like this are far more realistic and rational than the average deluded toxic positivity junkies, spreading their "life is beautiful gift" bull crap 💩…

But that's just my perspective. Not telling anyone else how to think or whom to admire.

I've kind of wanted to CTB the good ol' Yoñlu way. My #1 method would be to put a bullet through my head, but I have no access to guns, so the second-best option for me is probably carbon monoxide poisoning. This kid did it by setting up two barbecue grills in his bathroom and just letting them run until he passed out. It seems like it killed him within a matter of minutes and it was probably mostly painless. Seems like the "safest", most viable way I'd want to go out.
