We are born, we live.and than die but we can only experience LIFE. We cannot.experience before.and.afterwards because we are projecting our perception of now, into our ceasing of life.

yes i understand its hard. I think humans understand that they will one day die but we dont think about it so much generally. We understand but HEART acceptance is different. We only know ourselves today.

Yes, you are right, I can never be dead as I will no longer exist at that point, instead there will be nothing. I see death as being like how before we were born, time passed and yet we were not aware of anything. The thought of no longer existing is comforting. Death makes life seem so temporary and meaningless in comparison.

You are only *dead* in the eyes of the alive, as they are the ones that need a word to comfort them in the time of your non existence. Death is simpler and a kinder word when describing the loss of someone.
Death is the end of existence though.
We are only fearing the unknown of the after as we have come from nothing, and are aware of what happens when coming out of nothing... its the other part thats more complicated for people to comprehend

Aren't those synonyms. Like "death" is literally just ceasing to exist? I never really thought about the philosophy about this, because I honestly don't care, so maybe I'm wrong. But yeah, in reality, it's pretty obvious that there will just be nothing. Same as before you were born.

True, dead is just a doctor's finding in our case. We can't experience it. The interesting bit is the point at which we actually are, finally, dead. That's not so clear yet…

The desire not to exist is a real desire for many, maybe that's the real definition of being dead?
Not existing in any form, be it in a picture or your physical body, do we actually become dead.
I know that I know nothing quantum mechanics life and death
