• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I wish that were true.
If it were, I'd have died 10 years ago.

Same here. But it demonstrates that being totally demoralized can contribute to an earlier death.

What would be the proximate cause of such a death?
Heart attack or lack of nutrition or something? Or organs just mysteriously shutting down due to psychological factors?

That's a good question. Maybe the dopamine drop creates a chain reaction that reduces automatic functions and consequently hastens old-age related organ failure? here is a link to the full article but I don't think it answer's the question:

It's completely real, and has a lot of observed cases. It's not completely understood, but it definitely has something to do with dopamine production.

I can attest to that. When does the cycle of hurt stop…?

This is the same thing as the psychogenic death phenomenon, also known as voodoo death.

When the losers can feel comfortable leaving the game everyone including them knows they lost long ago. At least people who got handed the crap end of the stick this time around are less likely to have children. Most of them still suffer though. If they weren't conditioned to fear death or suicide they'd also save themselves decades of pointless misery.
