With the growing diplomatic, territorial (such as Ukraine, Taiwan, etc.) and weapons disputes, the possibility of WW3 is increasingly coming to the fore. What is your opinion on this?
Do you fear the possibility of WW3? If so, how does this affect your suicidal ideation? How do you react to it?

My fear of things like this is why I want a suicide method set up and ready to go if the time comes for WW3 or some other catastrophic event. There is already so much suffering in the world without a global war and I don't want any part in it.

It's not very likely. It's more likely that the superpowers will split up the world among themselves (Russia gets Ukraine, China Taiwan, and the US Greenland & Gaza). Not saying this is exactly what will happen but I feel like that's the direction we're moving towards.

It is very scary, to me at least. Especially living in the country i live in. If something like that does happen, i'd rather take myself out first before someone else does. I try not to think about it. But it's hard because of the news blowing everything out of proportion.

I literally nearly spiraled about the situation where Trump fired and "rehired" the people WHO KEEP NUCLEAR WEAPONS FROM GOING OFF ACCIDENTALLY... safe to say I'm nearing doomsday level about everything else too

You genuinely think the US has a chance at Greenland? Have you kept up with that stuff? 😅

Felt the same seeing conservatives think he sticked up to Zelensky. That shit made me cringe to the bones.

I'm terrified of it. I don't have any method set up and ready to go in case it happens, but I'm not ready to go anyways. I can't leave my 16yo dog behind. I just hope these people come to their senses.. So much suffering for no reason

I have no space left on my list of existential crises to be worried about WW 3. But that oddly enough does not make me more suicidal. Its the day to day that drives me to ctb.

This is the last thing im worried about, i dont think its plausible in current era of globalisation. And given that communist china threatens Taiwan since its formation for 70 years its nothing new, Mao Zedong was launching misilies arround Taiwan and invasion didnt followed, they do provocations regurly since then i wouldnt worry much about it. Even Taiwanese are pretty calm about it

Im just worried that Russia will attack Poland since i like, live here (im scared as shit of getting enlisted) And no this wont mean WW3, this would be terrible escalation tho... But again, what can i know about the future? In practice we all know shit about future

Exactly. It's bad enough as is. I don't have any passions or anything in life to "fight for" so going through brutal trials for years to make it to the "other side" with peace and so on only to, at best, still be me...no way!

On the plus side, WW3 might make that final decision and action a bit easier.

I will gladly fight for my country. Not because of glory or something, but because I will get killed by some random guy or blown up by a drone so I won't have to do it myself. If I killed some bad guys before being shot myself, I can at least bleed out on the field knowing that I did something useful.

That doesn't mean that I want war. That will mean, that my stocks will just fall even more than they already do because of Donald Duck's bloody tariffs. Can't we just live in peace? Is it really that hard?

that's also my reason ! really don't want to be a fighter in the WW3

For me personally that would be a dream come true. I actually wish this to happen almost everyday. I can't see anything bad with it. You'll hopefully die as a hero for your country and you are not having to kill of yourself. When I did the military service I was educated as a frontal soldier, which would be a great place to be in war. I would join the armed forces directly!

I never thought about it that way. Not having to kms sounds good and getting to "die a hero" eases the guilt of doing it a bit. Though I worry about all the lives that would get caught up in this conflict, and of not dying instantly (or even worse: being captured)

Probably won't happen. Those unaligned countries are at risk though of being pulled into another's sphere. We as humans could be doing great things but the monkeys haven't come out of their caves yet. Being old enough to remember duck & cover in school and then in the military where I'd either be gassed or nuked if the big one went off I'm more fascinated that it didn't happen considering politicians of all stripes are "positive" they know what some other one is thinking.

I don't know what to think really. In a way, I can't really see it happening but then, I also think we're such a dumb race led by trigger happy lunatics- maybe it is possible.

I'd definitely rather die by my own hands though than witness a world war and especially a nuclear war. Either dieing in it or even surviving it would be bad I imagine.

It's coming. I predicted this in 1998, but I was labeled 'psychotic' at the time, so I could have been wrong. o-:

On a more serious note, I still think it's coming. If that orange clown forces a peace agreement on Ukraine, then Russia will have time to rearm itself and could - within 5 years - attack other European countries. Europe has just decided to pump 800 billion (!) euro into the 'Rearm Europe' plan. France has proposed to have their nukes cover Europe like a 'nuclear umbrella'.

When I saw that orange clown spewing his lies before Congress and his goons giving him a standing ovation shouting 'USA! USA!' I saw the likes of Hitler. The golden age of American... He might as well said the thousand year old Reich.

There's nothing to be done. We're in the rollercoaster now.
