BlySky is awash with people in blue states saying things like 2nd amendment / violence is the next logical step now?? Seems like a recipe for disaster

Unpopular opinion on here but: last time I was in DC, 3 months ago, I asked everyone I talked to if anything had changed for them day-to-day since the elections, DOGE, etc. They all said nothing changed.
I remember the George Floyd protests on the news being like anarchy. Then I went to downtown Seattle and it was a ghost town. Thats the news for you…

I hope you're right. So you think having a felon running the country is a good thing though? 😂😅

This saying is often attributed to Samuel Clemens (though probably wasn't actually from him), "Washington/Congress serves as a stud farm for every jackass in the country."

You mean a convicted felon? Because US governance now is organized crime, may as well be the Mafia. Trusting politicians is something I never do, no matter who they are.

It's always interesting to me when both sides switch shoes. It wasn't even five minutes ago when the blue states were spreading the fear that the red states were going to start a civil war with their guns... but now the threat comes from blue states.

I remember when Obama was in office and the red states were certain that he was going to declare martial law so that he could stay in office after his second term ended... but now the red states are trying to figure out how to keep Trump in office and aren't batting an eye at the National Guard and US military being used to police inside the USA.

People hate both-sides-ing... but I see a lot of similarities in how each side reacts when they are not the ones in power. Each side does its own different kinds of bad things, and you may be able to make a case that one side is measurably worse than the other right now... but it's also true that neither side really cares that much about the average citizen, and it shows.
